I visited Warsaw twice while living in
Belgrade - first with a volleyball team and later with the Mathcounts group.
A city that was virtually flattened during World War 2, Warsaw has rebuilt
itself and now is the shining capital city for one of the newest players
on the EU stage.
During Spring Break 2007, I visited southern Poland. There were many unforgettable sights - some beautiful, and some heartbreaking:
