Jordan:

A place to spend summers and winter vacations during my first three years of university (1987 - 90), Jordan was a real introduction to a side of the world we rarely glimpse. From the deserts and oases to the shores of the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba, encompassing history that ranges from the mystical city of Petra to the Roman ruins at Jerash to the modern day metropolis of Amman, Jordan was a wonder to behold.
