Older pictures of nature - this isn't
really updated much any more.
Even though this is also on the Artsy
page, I like it so much I put it here as well.
While wandering through a nature preserve
in Kenosha, we came across a monarch butterfly that was a little chilly
and so very obligingly posed on some flowers (picture above and below)
Susan's parents have a cabin in northern
Minnesota, with colorful wildflowers all around the property. As Mary Poppins
said, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever."
And of course the wildlife abounds
up there. They've got chickadees all over the place, and even have them
conditioned to eat out of human hands.
We met up with this majestic elk in
Yellowstone National Park

Alea, Breck, and Daddy ran into this
peacock at the Racine, WI zoo. He was strutting his stuff just enough to
take a picture of his big ole tail.
At our home in Honduras, we had these
'magic plants' growing. Touch the leaves and they close up like a venus
flytrap. Cool.
