Early in the morning, the days seemed to be off to a good start, but by the time we were back from picking up the boys, rain clouds had decided to take up station over the city. That didn't dampen (ha ha ha) too many people's enthusiasm for being out and about - we saw a ton of student groups trapsing around the Kremlin walls (check out the tour guide's white-ribboned pole above) One of the more popular places to meet is at the tomb of the unknown soldier - a body found at the spot of the German's furthest advance toward Moscow in WWII. There are other things to see and do around Moscow, for sure, but because of time constraints, we got to see very little of the rest of the city. Next time, perhaps... |
