"Down at Grandpa's farm"
probably means different things to different families, but to us, there
is only one such place. The highlight of our trip was the pleasant time
we spent doing basically nothing on the "Back Achers" along the Provo River.
We spent days playing in the picnic area, trying to feed the cows, 'driving'
the tractor, running in the orchard, exploring Bridal Veil Falls, eating
watermelon and making ice cream, all in the company of grandparents, great-grandparents,
cousins (1st, 2nd, twice-removed, twice baked, etc. etc.), aunts, uncles,
and various assorted hangers-on.
It was certainly a wonderful
reminder that there is always family in Utah, and the hugs and stories
exchanged reinforced the need for us to make it back more often.
