The Fontana del Tritone (Fountain
of the Triton) - one of Bernini's masterpieces - dominates the plaza in
the center of swirling traffic. I passed this area almost every day, as
there is a bus stop that I would use to get back to my bed and breakfast
(it was also across the street from the the crypt of the Cappuchini Monks,
ehere I had my camera confiscated!)
Interestingly, the sculptor was a patron
of the Barberini family and included their symbol on the fountain: bees.
