For MathCounts 2005, Dave traveled
with students to Sofia, Bulgaria (last
year we went to Prague). It was quite a bit colder than last year,
so there was less 'touring' done, but on the following pages you can join
us in seeing the city:
We took a train from Belgrade to Sofia
- an 8 hour scheduled ride that turned into 10 hours both ways. The countryside
was scenic, under a blanket of snow that covered corn shocks, mountains,
and houses alike.
