Peace, Baby!The Protester

Your Viewpoint

You are OPPOSED to the mural being about the Vietnam War. You were a protester during the time of the Vietnam War and you still believe that war is wrong. You especially believe that the war in Vietnam was fought for the wrong reasons.

Your belief is that the mural might be a "celebration" of war and violence and has no place in Kenosha. If there is to be any memorial, it should be to those who opposed the killing and help end the fighting.

Questions to address

  1. Why did some people protest against the Vietnam War?
  2. What sorts of people protested against the war?
  3. What were some of the ways they protested?
  4. Why did the protesters believe the war was wrong?
  5. What effect (if any) did the protests have?
