The 10 Commandments of Writing an AP Essay |

Thou shalt not write an introductory paragraph or concluding paragraph.
2. Thou shalt not be overly concerned with grammar, spelling, or punctuation. It is not graded. 3. Thou shalt always write in paragraph form: No listing! 4. Thou shalt define, explain, & describe all psych terms used. Your reader knows nothing! 5. Thou shalt try to spend 20 minutes on each essay. 6. Thou shalt use black ink. 7. Thou shalt write legibly. Yours may be the last essay to be read that day. 8. Thou shalt not use the "root" word to define a term. (i.e.repression is when you repress) Bad ! Bad ! 9. Thou shalt realize that these are AP essay rules & are not to be confused with standard essay form. 10. Thou shalt relax & take a deep breath! It's only an essay! |
