Schizophrenia

  • Lasts at least six months and includes one month of symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized speech.

Schizophreniform Disorder

  • Similar to schizophrenia but shorter in duration.

Schizoaffective Disorder

  • A depressive or manic episode along with symptoms of schizophrenia.

Delusional Disorder

  • At least one month of nonbizarre delusions without other symptoms of schizophrenia.

Brief Psychotic Disorder

  • Lasts more than one day and ends by one month.

Shared Psychotic Disorder

  • Involves the influence of one individual with an established delusion on another individual exhibiting similar symptoms.
