Cairo: Pharaonic Village

The kids got to spend a day at the Pharaonic Village, a recreation of life in Ancient Egypt.
They were given a boat ride through canals that demonstrated aspects of daily activities, from arts and crafts to food making, affording them a fun opportunity to see and learn!

They got the family's only glimpse of a shaduf during the trip, and passed reed-filled marshes with recreations of statues and gods.

Artisans were hard at work on everything from military weaponry to household pottery - many of which I'm sure found their way into the gift shop!
