Welcome to Africa!!
Gedi ruins are in Kenya near the coastal town of Mombasa. Gedi is believed to have been an important trade route 'oasis' between Southern Africa and the Middle East. Although once on the coast, it is now inland about 5 miles; the Indian Ocean has changed over the last thousand years, leaving Gedi stranded and occupied only by monkeys and giant millipedes.
