Buddy reading is an opportunity for
different grade levels to come together and enjoy the reading experience.
It is a time when older students can act as mentors for the younger children
and they, in turn, get to practice their emerging reading skills.
It is a win-win situation for everyone! Krista Webster and Laura
Fiallos' classes enjoy Buddy Reading every Friday afternoon. Sometimes
the older kids bring books from the library to share. Often times,
the little ones read works they have created over the course of the week.
We always sing songs, have a great time and really practice our reading!!
